Sabrina Rem • Anusara-inspired™

Sabrina has experienced profound healing through yoga, both physical and spiritual, and is moved to share her love of the practice with others. She teaches an uplifting and heart-centered asana class with an emphasis on physical alignment and the breath. Sabrina’s classes are grounded in the Anusara principles of alignment and life-affirming Tantric philosophy. She encourages her students to engage deeply and make each pose a creative expression from the heart. Always a dedicated student, Sabrina continues her yoga education bringing fresh inspiration to her classes from master teachers, workshops and trainings.
Sabrina honors and extends deep gratitude to her teachers John Friend, Stacey Rosenberg, Chris Tompkins and Dr. Douglas Brooks. Sabrina’s website

Nicole DePicciotto See Nicole’s extended bio
Nicole’s first introduction to the world of Yoga was at a local meditation center in Los Angeles, chanting unfamiliar devotional hymns in a strange setting and not understanding a word.  Yet the opening she felt and the burning desire to go deeper was unmistakable.  This desire led her to study Yoga, Buddhism, Tantric philosophy, and Sanskrit over the last 10 years.
Nicole uses Yoga as a primary tool for awakening by becoming sensitive to the wisdom, awareness, and joy already present within.  She draws upon our everyday trials and tribulations as a source for spiritual insight and laughter, and she connects our daily experience to Yoga philosophy and the rich insights found in Eastern wisdom traditions.  She teaches a mindfully paced class, taking time to guide students to feel the pose from the inside out and find their own optimal expression of each pose.  Students leave Nicole’s classes feeling more deeply connected, present and invigorated.
Off the mat, Nicole is a full-time mom and enjoys connecting with the divine by practicing downward dog with her toddler, gardening, baking bread, making jam, and savoring the simple joys in her life.

photo-31prayerBrent Kuecker is from Tempe, Arizona and is now making his home in Portland.  He has studied predominantly in the Anusara Yoga method.  It was in Jan of 2001 that Brent was first introduced to Anusara Yoga by Desiree Rumbaugh (Certified Anusara Yoga teacher). In addition to studying 100’s of hours with many Anusara Yoga certified teachers, he has had Anusara Yoga Teacher Training with Christina Sell, Darren Rhodes, Noah Maze, and the founder of Anusara Yoga, John Friend.  Brent infuses his classes with a feeling of playfulness and an appreciation for a softening of the heart. He encourages his students to play on the edge and to push their boundaries.

Alison Alstrom • Anusara-inspired™

Alison has been exploring the practice of Yoga as Living since being taught to meditate as a small child. She began her study of asana (postures) with a second hand paperback while in Art School in the late nineties, and has since dedicated herself to unraveling the wisdom and nuance of the body through yoga. She has known many extraordinary teachers, and is indebted to Douglas Brooks, Desiree Rumbaugh, Darren Rhodes and others. Most of all, Alison is a dedicated student of Anusara’s founder, John Friend.

Alison also serves as the director of Concordia Movement Center. Alison’s website
